Well, we made through another busy holiday season (praise the Lord for coming to Earth!); made through another busy year end and New Years; and here we are bright eyed and bushy tailed and already in the middle of February!
So sorry I have not had the time to update the site before now, but lots of great things to report on.
Our little church is being blessed, over and over again! God keeps changing things up and bringing new life to us, both in people's lives personally and in the Church. Let's count some of them, shall we?
* We have celebrated five adult baptisms in the past six weeks!
* We have convened a new Budget Committee to review and propose a new Church budget, including new ministries and missions to give to;
* We have started a Building Project, to maintain, improve, and expand God's church building (thanks to Tom and Peggy spearheading things, we have already completed "Phase 1" of this project, totally remodelling bathrooms, and the Fellowship Hall; cleaning out and hauling stuff off to the dump; cleaning out and repairing our storage shed; etc., etc. Thanks Guys! )
* We are prayerfully asking God to call and anoint a couple of more men to step up into critical church leadership positions (two trustees and two more deacons)
* God is blessing our Wednesday night Bible Study! We are meeting at the Pastor's home, and God has miraculously expanded our numbers to an average of 20 people a week, with a good number of them being members of other congregations, including one sweet, elderly soul who drives over from Trinidad! We are 2/3 the way through the Book of Jeremiah...oh my goodness, what a study of God's character! Come join us at 6:00 on Wednesdays.
* We are halfway through our sermon series on the Book of Job. Lots of meat there! Still time to come get in on the final studies of the series!
I trust that God is similarly blessing your life and activities. Stay tuned for updates on these and other works the Lord is leading us through!
